Our Group / Nasa Grupa

So... we are back home, in Serbia.
We are happy to be home, but a week or weekend longer in lovely city of Plovdiv with our friends from there would have been cool too!
In order to not forget us (but that is not possible, we know) before they visit us in 2 or 3 weeks

Last Day / Zadnji Dan

:( Today is our last day in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, with our friends from Sveti Sofronie Vrachanski school!
We are a little bit sad because we are going back to Serbia this evening, but we are happy that we made friends here, had a great time, shopped a lot, ate a lot and learned a lot of things...
And for the end, we are going to Starosel and Hisar

Today we had some great workshops ... from Biology and Art (though the professor teaches maths actually!)

Plovdiv Game / Plovdiv Igra

Today, like we had in Lasko, Slovenia on our KickOff Meeting, we had Plovdiv game around our host's school Sveti Sofrony Vrachanski.
The game was very fun and we wish to have more games like that!
We learned something new about history of Serbia and Bulgaria, and we mentioned our Czech friends.
Tomorrow we will know which group (there were four groups) is the winner!!!
They will receive some presents as winners!

In School in Plovdiv/ U Skoli u Plovdivu

Today, this post is typed from our Informatics class in our partner's school - Sofrony Vrachanski in Plovdiv.
We are here from the beginning of the classes - 8 o'clock, and before that we had breakfast at 7.30.
It was a little bit hard for us to wake up early because we are still somewhat tired from our trip yesterday and the difference in time (Bulgaria is one hour ahead of Serbia, so when we got up this morning at 7 o'clock, it was 6 in Serbia!) but we are happy that we are in the school!

Our first class was English, now we have Informatics and then, there will have a welcoming party in the school's hall and then we continue with the classes.

Off To Plovdiv, Bulgaria / Polazak za Plovdiv, Bugarsku

This evening we are going to Nis where we will catch the train to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria and then we will be on our way, to our final destination, Plovdiv and school Sofroni Vrachanski.
We will be there until Friday.
What we will do there ... stay tuned and continue to follow our blog!

 

We On TV! :) / Mi na TV-u!

We hope that we presented our project well and that we made people aware what ACES is!
Yeah ... we were a little bit nervous and we forgot some things we wanted to say, but, next time, it will be better!

ACES Project on TV ! / ACES Projekat na Tv-u !

In just a few hours, our school will present the ACES Project on our regional TV! We are invited to talk about what we have already done in Slovenia, what we are doing at the moment and what are our plans for the future.
In the studio, to talk about our project, following people will be present: our teacher Boban, Milica Ivanis, who was in Lasko, Slovenia for the Kick Off Meeting, Veljko Jermic and Milica Novakovic who are going to Bulgaria as the part of exchange plan to meet with our project partners friends.
We hope you will watch us!

Museum in Zajecar / Muzej U Zajecaru

Today, our school ( well...some of the students) is going to the museum in Zajecar where we will , in a way, officially start our ACES project!
And we are so excited!!!!
We will have the tour of the museum with the curator Nina and she will tell us something about the museum and the UNESCO World Heritage Site - Felix Romuliana, where we will also have some workshops concerning the ACES Project!

We are going with our teacher Boban and we hope that we will make lots of photos and we will have a great time learning about the history, culture and collecting the ideas for our project!

My Journey Through ACES / Slovenia

Slovenia is a beautiful country.And ACES Project is awesome!
Since I've never been in Slovenia, my wish was to  go there and present our school - Dositej Obradovic, in the ACES project in Lasko, Slovenia. My wish came true and I went there with my French and English teacher. When we started from Belgrade I was really excited. I could not wait to get there.

On the train, I slept a little because I was full of excitement. When we arrived in Slovenia, we did not immediately went to Lasko, but we spent couple of hours in Ljubljana. Ljubljana is very beautiful and all of Slovenia is lovely - all green and really beautiful. The people there are more sophisticated, they have different customs, but the people in Slovenia are really nice. After Ljubljana, we went by train to Lasko. We traveled about half an hour. The hotel was great!I like the most the swimming pools. In the room I was with a girl from the Czech Republic and one girl from Serbia. We got along beautifully and we became good friends. My expectations were fulfilled and all the workshops were fun and interesting. I'm glad I have the new things to say to others. The knowledge I acquired while I was working in the ACES project  with my peers from schools of Europe is very useful.
I also met a lot of children from many countries. I met kids from Croatia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Germany, Austria, Romania ...

The project was truly amazing! It was really incredible to be in a hotel with a lot of people!I  learned a lot of things and I made a lot of new friends. I even cried at the end when I had to part from my new friends!It is  because I really made great friends for these five days!So, thank you ACES for this great experience!Your Milica Ivanis from Serbia!

Dositej Obradovic - Who Was He? / Ko Je On Bio?

Доситеј Обрадовић (световно име Димитрије) (Чаково, 1739, 1742. или 1744 — Београд, 28. март 1811) је био српски просветитељ и реформатор револуционарног периода националног буђења и препорода. Рођен је у румунском делу Баната тадашње Аустрије. Школовао се за калуђера, али је напустио тај позив и кренуо на путовања по целој Европи, где је примио идеје европског просветитељства и рационализма. Понесен таквим идејама радио је на просвећивању свог народа, преводио је разна дела међу којима су најпознатије Езопове басне, а потом је и сам писао дела, првенствено програмског типа, међу којима је најпознатије „Живот и прикљученија“. Доситеј је био први попечитељ просвете у Совјету и творац свечане песме „Востани Сербие“. Његови остаци почивају у Београду, на улазу у Саборну цркву.

Доситеј Обрадовић је рођен 1744. године у Чакову у Банату, у занатлијској породици. Још као ђак основне школе, одао се сањарењу и верском заносу. После смрти његовог оца, његов тетак, да би га излечио од сањарења и мистицизма, изводи га из школе и даје на занат. Међутим, жеља за науком, коју је он гледао у црквеним књигама, не оставља га ни доцније, и чим му се за то указала прилика, он оставља занат и родбину и бежи у фрушкогорски манастир Хопово.


Доситеј се ту закалуђерио и почео озбиљно да мисли на пустињачки живот. Али када је боље и ближе упознао манастирски живот и калуђерско братство, видео је да то не одговара животописима светаца и његовим илузијама. Поред тога, до руку су му дошле и грађанске књиге, из којих је увидео да изван цркве постоји и друга мудрост и друкчији морал, управо оно за чим је жудео. После три године манастирског живота, напустио је манастир за сва времена. Од тог тренутка настају његова непрекидна путовања ради студија.

Као учитељ и домаћи васпитач, или као манастирски гост обишао је скоро цео Балкан и Малу Азију, затим Италију, Немачку, Француску, Енглеску, Аустрију и Русију. У Смирни је провео три године, као ђак чувене грчке богословске школе Јеротеја Дендрина. Ту и на Крфу добро је научио грчки језик, књижевност и филозофију. Школу је морао да напусти због избијања руско-турског рата 1787. године. После тога поново живи у Далмацији као учитељ у Книну, у школи на „Синобадовој главици“, затим у Задру и Трсту. Из Трста је отишао у Беч, где је провео пуних шест година у учењу немачког језика и културе. Као учитељ језика одлази из Беча у Карловце и Молдавију. Мантију је скинуо тек када се уписао у Халеу да слуша филозофију. Филозофске студије наставља у Лајпцигу и ту почиње и сам да пише. Године 1783. штампа своје прво дело „Живот и прикљученија“.
Путовао је још у Париз, Лондон и Русију, где је био позван за наставника једне војне школе.


Први српски устанак га је затекао у Трсту. Он се од почетка ставља у службу српских устаника: прво је скупљао прилоге за њих, а је потом вршио разне поверљиве мисије између устаника и Русије и најзад коначно прелази у Србију. Као најпросвећенији и најученији Србин свога времена, постао је први српски министар просвете, организовао је школе, мирио и саветовао устаничке вође, и био је Карађорђев лични секретар и саветник.
Умро је 1811. године у Београду и сахрањен испред Саборне цркве у Београду. Његово тело је два пута измештано, 1837. због зидања нове Саборне цркве уместо старе која је срушена и други пут 1897. да би се његов гроб поставио напоредо са гробом Вука Караџића који је те године пренет из Беча.

 Dositej Dimitrije Obradović (Serbian: Доситеј Димитрије Обрадовић, 17 February 1742 – 7 April 1811) was a Serbian author, philosopher, linguist, traveler, polyglot and the first minister of education of Serbia. An influential protagonist of the Serbian national and cultural renaissance, he advocated Enlightenment and rationalist ideas while remaining a Serbian patriot and an adherent of the Serbian Orthodox Church. Founder of modern Serbian literature, he is commonly referred to by his mononym, first name alone. He became a monk in the Serb Orthodox monastery of Hopovo, in the Srem region, and acquired the name Dositej (Dositheus). He translated many European classics, including Aesop's Fables, into Serbian. He was also a prominent Freemason, and was posthumously enrolled in German, English and Italian Masonic lodges.




Димитър Обрадович, приел по-късно монашеското име Доситей Обрадович (на сръбски: Доситеј Обрадовић) е сръбски писател, поет, философ-рационалист, педагог, книжовник и народен будител.
Първата българка, превела Обрадович на български, е Станка Николица-Спасо-Еленина.

 Роден е ок. 1739 или 1742 г. в Чаково, Войводина (в Банат). Приема монашеството през 1757 г. Посещава много страни на Балканите и Мала Азия, Италия, Германия, Франция, Англия, Австрия и Русия. Ходил е във Видин и Букурещ.
В края на 18 век обявява, че ще пише на простонароден език, който да бъде разбиран не само от образовани хора, но и от необразованите селяни и пастири. Въпреки това, езикът на Обрадович представлява славяносръбска смесица, но не и народен език.
През 1808 г. основава гимназия в Белград, която по-късно се преобразува в първия сръбски университет. Обрадович основава и богословска семинария.
Доситей Обрадович е първият сръбски министър на просвещението.
Почива в Белград на 28 март 1811 г

Dositej Obradović (Čakovo, 1742 — Bělehrad, 1811) byl srbský osvícenec, reformátor a spisovatel.
Původem pocházel z rumunské části Banátu, která byla součástí tehdejšího Rakousko-Uherska. V mládí vstoupil do klášetera, kde studoval a měl se stát mnichem. Později svá studia přerušil a čas trávil na cestách po celé Evropy, což ho dovedlo k přijetí ideálů evropského osvícenství a racionalismu, které byly v ostrém konfliktu se světem tehdejších dolních Uher a pravoslavné srbské komunity. Po návratu do vlasti se snažil tyto myšlenky šířit i doma. A to konkrétně překládáním cizích děl, například ezopových bajek. Mezi jeho vlastní tvorbu potom patří Život i priključenija. Kromě toho napsal mnohé spisy v duchu osvíceneckých tradic, které měly podpořit vznik srbského národního programu a celonárodní konsolidace. Obradović složil také hymnu povstaleckého "státu", píseň s názvem Vostani Serbie. Dositej se stal prvním ministrem osvěty v povstalecké radě, která řídila Srbsko během prvního povstání na počátku 19. století, ve své funkci zemřel. Pohřben je v Bělehradě nedaleko kostela Saborna crkva.

About Our School / O Nasoj Skoli

Osnovana je školske 1841/1842. godine. U sastav škole ulaze područna odeljenja u Nikoličevu i Trnavcu (četvororazredne škole). Škola ima oko stotinak učenika. Ime je dobila po srpskom piscu i prosvetitelju Dositeju Obradoviću. 

The school was founded in 1841/1842. It was named after Serbian author, philosopher, linguist, traveler, polyglot and the first minister of education of Serbia - Dositej Obradovic.
Around one hundred pupils attend the school in Vrazogrnac, Nikolicevo and Trnavac.
